Fuelling the inner athlete

Getting wrong!!


It’s all about the energy!

And how to fuel that energy.

Today I got the combination wrong 🙄

So Leonidas eat breakfast 2.5 hours before he ran ✅ PERFECT

However……. He had bacon, sausage and beans

Which in its self is not bad thing however what he really should of had was slow releasing carbs 😫

A better start would have been porridge and peanut butter 👍

I then should have give him a pre run snack which didn’t happen.

This would of helped him with an energy boost to preform better in the cross country run.

The rest of the prep was fine:

Good nights sleep

Rested and ready to go

Kept layers on right up until the start line

Warmed up and stretched before the race

Protein snack post race

ALL SPOT ON 👌🏻

He did great and his fitness levels are through the roof because he plays so much sports,

However what is good about tracking and having this information is that there are small little things that we can change next time,

which will be really easy to do if planned correctly and will actually make the difference between top 10 and top 5 😊

Life is hectic things get in the way, getting 3 kids ready and out the door on a Saturday morning is enough to tip anyone of the edge 😂

But children and young athlete nutrition really does not need to be hard it’s literally all in the knowledge and Pre planning.
