Girls football

After years of being told that girls don't play football, it's soooooo refreshing to see the women's game finally taking centre stage 😊
My 7 year old Amber loves every minute of it and the fact that in her mind anything her brother can do she can match if not better.
The reality is we still have a way to go with girls playing football!
But the main thing is we are getting there we are moving forward and we are making progress.
Amber and her team along with every other 7-8 year old girl playing their heart out on a cold January weekend morning are making a diffference.
And the best thing is they know no different.
You go girls!
I stood at the side of the pitch today proud that my daughter was playing, proud that they were giving it their all, proud that despite the sideways rain, the gail force wind and the sub zero temperatures they were actually enjoying it.

The fact that it was Saturday morning and grass roots girls football was dominating the outdoor pitches was everything and more! 🤍
Nutrition comes a close second to encouragement and fun, and whatever I can do to give my baby girl the best start, the most encouragement and the tools that she needs to succeed I will do!
It's not always easy to get a 7 year old to eat what's good for them but the more fun you can make it, the more normal it becomes and the more subtle it appeares the better they will feel, the healthier they will become and the easier they will find it to preform where it counts 🤍
